PREPOSITION

Hello there! For this entry, we would be focusing on PREPOSITION.

What? PREPOSITION? What's that???

According to the Oxford Dictionary, preposition means : a word governing, and usually preceding, a noun or pronoun and expressing a relation to another word or element in the clause

PFFT? What do I care? I want it SIMPLE!! How can I recognise a preposition when I see one?

Okay, here are the rules.

1.     Remember PREPOSITIONPOSITION tells you where it is LOCATED, PLACED.

So, automatically you will know that it's
ON the table, NEXT to her, BESIDE him, BELOW the chair. Therefore, those highlighted in blue are all preposition.
2.    The key is that it will ALWAYS be in front of a NOUN!
Again, on the TABLE, below the CHAIR states the position of the noun things.

Here is a list of prepositions :

Aboard, about, above, across, after, against, along, amid, among, around, as, at, before, behind, below, beneath, beside, besides, between, beyond, but, by, concerning, considering, despite, down, during, except, excepting, excluding, following, for, from, in, inside
Into, like, minus, near, of, off, on, onto, opposite, outside, over, past, per, plus, regarding, round, save, since, than, through, to, toward, towards, under, underneath, unlike, until, up, upon, versus, via, with, within, without

Here's a good reference which I found from MIND YOUR GRAMMAR.

At last! After hours of stress to complete this simple entry, now it's done. PHEWWW.
I hope that it may help to give you a clearer view on prepositions. Have a good day friends! :)
